Expansion and Equipment Grants for Small Businesses

27-Aug-2013
If you are expanding or looking to purchase new equipment and machinery then you may qualify for a business grant worth £40,000 (match funded) available for Blackburn and Darwen based businesses.

This grant criteria is linked with new job creation and business to business trade only. This service is not available for retail companies (that sell direct to the public) and for those organisations that will not be creating any new jobs.

1 Business Enterprise (1BE) offer a ‘no win - no fee’ service, taking the businesses through the full Grant Application process; from checking eligibility, to providing representation on the Client's behalf and ensuring all the necessary documentation is submitted on time. The client will only pay if they are approved.

Half a dozen clients have already benefited from this service and have been successful in drawing down funding ranging from £15,000 to £40,000 for new machinery, equipment and building expansion.

Mubarak Chati, Managing Director says, 'there is a lot of support for businesses available and from our client engagement portfolio over 500 businesses, not many are aware of them.

For 1BE it is vital that we regularly communicate and keep our clients abreast of all the public funded programmes available, whether it is training & development support or grants & finance assistance, our objective is to firstly create an awareness of these offerings, secondly providing the necessary support to help businesses access them and finally, if required provide a 'practical hands on' service so they can benefit accordingly.

We have been offering a ‘no win - no fee service’ to businesses for some time and our clients greatly appreciate this as they do not have to incur any expense upfront to access the service, instead they only pay the fee once they have received the Grant Offer letter.'
